What is Waterfall D-Mannose ™? How does it function on the body?
D-Mannose is a natural occuring simple sugar (monosaccharide). D-Mannose is aborbed
eight times slower than glucose, and when ingested, is not converted into glycogen
or stored in the liver, but rather goes directly to the blood stream. Therefore,
D-Mannose is mostly filtered through the kidneys and directed to the bladder.
There, it has the property to bind with E. Coli bacteria.
How does a bladder infection appear?
The bladder lining is comprised of polysaccharide molecules. Finger-like
projections on the cell surface of E. Coli bacteria adhere to these molecules,
initiating an infection.
What is the effect of D-Mannose?
In the presence of D-Mannose, E. Coli preferentially attach to D-Mannose
molecules forming a complex which is expelled with the next flushing.
Is D-Mannose advisable for all bladder infections?
D-Mannose is effective exclusively for infections caused by E. Coli bacteria,
which represent 90% of cases. For infections caused by another agent, D-Mannose
can prevent a secondary infection caused by E. Coli bacteria.

mn to an hour and then drink lots of water in order to flush the bladder.
In this way, D-Mannose has time to bind with E. Coli bacteria.

D-Mannose is adapted for a long-term use. Therefore, D-Mannose is recommended
for chronic bladder infections. A clear improvement results from a regular
intake during three months.
How much D-Mannose does one need to stop an acute infection?
Normaly, one 50g dose of D-Mannose is sufficient. The first two days, the
intake of one teaspoon every three hours is recommended. The following
days, three times a day or according to needs. At this point, the infection
should be cleared. It is recommended to keep taking D-Mannose once a day
for a period of time.
